what the hell is this blog about?

ummm....well....this is my first post. my first blog...yea...

i've been thinking about writing a blog for some time now, but i just have put it off, and then for a little while i felt like i had nothing different to contribute. but, i do think i have an interesting perspective to present. what kind of lens? i don't know....fill in the blank...black, female, formerly religious, philosophical, political, american, southern, northern, creative, homo sapien sapien...whichever. sometimes none of these.
i'll be talking about, reviewing, crticizing everything from Zoology to Iran to Immanuel Kant to Jainism to morality to Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth. any and everything i find interesting will be on here.
i would do some sort of introduction about myself, but i think enough information about me will come out in my blog posts.

why the name Elephant Chronicles?
i really like the Elephant. Elephants are some of the only animals that arguably may have a sense of morality. Elephants are the only animals that acknowledge their dead. they touch, fondle, and smell the bones of other dead elephants that they have known, and ignore bones from other dead animals. they're some of the most fascinating animals.
and while i could name a plethora of symbolisms for the Elephant in Buddhism, Hinduism, and other religions/philosophies, i won't. i really like Elephants, and that's about it. any reasoning past that i think will put limitations on my content.
